No ocurrió.

English

Originally, this journal  must be published in January 1st of this year, 2015. I'd been working for design my personal graphic logo ("imagotipo" in spanish), and I had it ready for that date. My intention was to begin the new year with an image renewal, but for one thing or another (and principally because I'm procrastinator), I postponed it 'til later.

Then comes to my mind to write this journal for the ocassion of chinese new year, since this one is year's goat/ram, It did not happen.

Finally, I guess this is a very good moment to show my new logo to you, as I reached nine years here in deviantArt.

I guess that the graphic logo in essence doesn't have any meaning complexity. I was just looking for a visual representation that could work as an association to the fact that I'm an Aries, and that aspect was surrounding my name for long ago. Is not that I'm a real astrology believer, but somehow I've always felt proud of my zodiacal sign and think I have a lot of attributes of it; I often think about the relations and interactions between my sign and others.

I even remember that, being a child, once my parents gave me a pendent of my sign: it was like a medallion of aged silver, with the head of a ram in high relief. I wore it for a long time, until it simply broke because of so much use (it was aged silver, just imitation after all).

And here's my logo, nothing more than a grumpy serious ram wearing a bowler hat in his head, symply because I love those kind of hats and I buy one from time to time.

It also exists a dark relation with an obscure lost simbolism. No, it's not Baphomet or something satanic. ¿Does anybody remember Pet Society? It was a game oriented to Facebook and other social networks of the moment (year 2008) in wich you had to create a pet character and give it a house, dress it and make it to relate with other pets. While everyone was using kittens, doggies, teddybears, I created an specie of creature with white orbit eyes, weird looking ears like horns, always angry and completely naked. It was only wearing a bowler hat and it was out of place when reunite with the other pets of society. I felt like that in some moment of my life.

To tell the truth, I'd not thought about this aspect of the past until I wrote this journal. My new graphic logo does have certain meaning complexity after all!

I'm often a whitness of rise and falls of cafés. I feel sad when they close, even more when I didn't have a chance to go there and get a cup of coffee. That's why your drawing touched that fiber on me :)

Awww, I'm glad.  I feel the same way when great coffeeshops close.  They're more than just a place to buy coffee; the best ones are the heartbeat of the community.
